Coolrag44's Sims 4 City Builder Challenge
Welcome to a little challenge I have created. I wanted to create a difficult challenge where I could explore a lot of the things in the Sims that I'd never done before. Plus, I thought it would be interesting to play it from the perspective of someone trying to create a world based around themselves.
The Beginning
You start out in Newcrest, and your goal is to build a working city in that area. Start out living in the biggest lot in Newcrest, the one called Twin Oracle Point. This will be your base until you build the Mayor's mansion. Eventually This lot will become City Hall, but that happens later. Good luck in building up your town.
Thrift Store
Purchase the small lot at the top of the map called Comfy Cubby. This will be your Thrift Store. You can easily make the shop available to buy clothes and drink tea. You can even run the Bubble Tea bar yourself. While you are working on this, don't forget to use this to build a basic livable lot on your home lot. Don't overdo it with your home lot here, you'll build it up in the final part of the challenge.
Goal: Get 1,000 followers on Trendi.
Spa
Purchase Oak Alcove Lot. Then on your home lot purchase a vault. Sell the Thrift Store (Don't forget to go into manage worlds and set the Thrift Store as a Thrift store so that it continues to work as one after you sell it. You are trying to build up a city.) Put all the money you have left from the Thrift Store into that Vault. That money will come in handy later. The Oak Alcove Lot will be your new Spa.
Goal: As you are building the spa, complete the Self-Care Specialist Aspiration.
Bakery
Purchase Beech Byway as your new Bakery. Sell your spa and set it as a spa lot. Put your Spa money in the vault. Now have fun building up a bakery.
Goal: Complete Master Mentor Aspiration to pass on your baking skills to others.
Apothecary Store
Purchase Fern Park. Sell your Bakery and set as a retail lot. Put your Bakery money into the Vault. Good luck running your Apothecary. Here you can sell herbal remedies. If your sim is a Spellcaster, why not add in potions as well. Also, why not floral arrangements because we seem to have a plant theme here.
Goal: Finish the Elixir Enthusiast Aspiration
Lightsaber Shop
Purchase Midtown Meadows. Put your Apothecary money in the vault. Okay, now I know that Journey to Batuu isn't one of the popular packs, but I happen to be a Star Wars fan. So, I figured why not run a shop for it. We are gonna be exploring Batuu and running a shop as well. So, have fun with it.
Goal: Finish the Galactic Privateer Aspiration and sell the things you get from Batuu in your shop.
Public Pool
Purchase Optimist's Outlook. Put your Lightsaber shop money in the vault. Here's a chance to let your Sim have a relaxing time. It isn't a lot of work to build a pool, and it will bring in some money. So have fun running this pool.
Goal: Complete the Beach Life Aspiration
Restaurant
Purchase Hillside Highlands. Put your Pool money in the vault. Every Sim must eat, and if you are like me at all, you are sometimes too tired to cook. So, let's start a restaurant!
Goal: 5 star Restaurant and complete the Master Chef Aspiration
Art Gallery
Purchase Civic Cliffs. Put your Restaurant money in the vault. Now you can have fun painting. Work on slowly building yourself an art gallery featuring your own art.
Goal: Complete the Painter Extraordinaire Aspiration.
Gym
Purchase Cookout Lookout. Put your Art Gallery money in the vault. Now, do you even lift, bruh? Anyway, let's build ourselves a little gym. Every town needs a place where the bros can go to show off their muscles.
Goal: Finish the Body Builder Aspiration
Library
Purchase Sandy Run. Put your Gym money in the vault. Now we do my favorite thing. We write, and we share the joy of books. Let's build a library.
Goal: Complete the Best Selling Author Aspiration
Museum
Purchase Tranquil Crescent. Put your Library Money in the vault. Now we get to go on an adventure. We have an art gallery, but we need to make sure people understand the culture of the world. So, let's go to Selvadorada.
Goal: Finish the Archeology Scholar Aspiration
Lounge
Purchase Asphalt Abodes. Put your Museum money in the vault. Now, every town needs a good hangout with good music, so why not build a lounge. Also, is there even good music in this world? So, let's make it.
Goal: Complete Musical Genius Aspiration
Nectar Store
Purchase Avarice Acres. Put Lounge money in the vault. What we need is some good old fashioned juice. We need the good stuff, and a place to buy it. So, let's make ourselves some good juice.
Goal: Finish the Expert Nectar Maker Aspiration
Mayor's Home
Purchase Rippling Flats. Put the Nectar money in the vault. Here will be the first time you actually have a job. So, have fun with it.
Goal: Finish the Mansion Baron Aspiration while joining the Politician Career
City Hall
Congratulations! You have finished the majority of the challenge! Now to let the fruits of your labor be used. Take the money out of your Vault! Now you get to use this to build yourself a lovely City Hall. Here you can decorate it with things from every aspect of the challenge so far, to show the city how far the mayor has gotten.
